Sundance Festival Short Film Programmer Visual CV
Hello Sundance! I'd like to take this opportunity to introduce myself in a more visual, personal way. This portfolio is a walk through the creative worlds I have worked in, and the lens I bring to programming: one that is rooted in empathy, emotional intelligence, and a deep love for bold, original voices. I look forward to discussing the Festival Short Film Programmer role further!
Director, Storyteller
Filmmaker / Progammer
I was raised outside of Boulder, Colorado and now I split my time between Los Angeles and NYC. I am a multidisciplinary storyteller at the intersection of creating and curation. My directorial debut film, MASC, premiered at the 2024 Hollywood Reel Independent Film Festival, the Chelsea Film Festival, and won Best LGBTQ+ Short at the Denver Underground Film Festival. I have also produced and directed music videos, proof-of-concept films, and branding narratives.

I learned from workshops at Sundance Institute's Co//ab through courses on Directing Actors (Tessa Blake) and TV Writing (Angela LaManna). I also studied film at Columbia University in NYC, with such notable instructors as Annette Insdorf.

In the realm of film festival programming, I have served on the Screenings & Selections Committee at the Hamptons International Film Festival, where I evaluated hundreds of shorts and feature films, wrote coverage and reviews, contributed to programming blocks, and moderated filmmaker q & a's.
Host, Podcast, Interviews
Conversation as Curation
As a radio personality, I was the host my own prime-time show for 5+ years on the NPR Los Angeles flagship, KCRW. I guided many interviews and long-form conversations about story and the creative process with filmmakers such as: David Lynch, Catherine Hardwicke, and Andy Samberg.

In more recent years, I created How To Be Queer, a podcast series in collaboration with GLAAD that explored intimately personal LGBTQ+ narratives. My mission with every interview is to build trust and shape conversations that explore a deeper understanding of story.
Creative Director: Music
The Soundtrack of Storytelling
As a Music Supervisor and a Creative Director of Music, I spent many years working with some of the world's most recognized names in film and television:

HBO’s Six Feet Under
Warner Brothers Discovery
Paramount Global

Whether I was DJ-ing and Music Directing the MTV VMAs, supervising tracks for a TV series, or launching the career of Sia through one of television's most iconic moments, I have continually sharpened my instincts for tone, pacing, and narrative arcs. I was also named one of the Top Thirty Under 30 by Billboard Magazine.
Cassette tape marketing activation for Genuine, NYC.
Branding and Experiences
Narrative Beyond The Screen
I have not only built narrative experiences for screens, but also for public spaces, communities, and brands. At AvroKO, an award-winning design firm, I developed brand identities and consumer narratives for restaurants and hotels around the world.

I also was an early partner on School Night, an influential live music series that created careers for artists like Florence and The Machine and Dua Lipa.

I DJ-ed The Oscars, crafted soundscapes for New York Fashion Week, and created a sonic environment for the inauguration of the Academy Museum (hosted by Tom Hanks and Annette Bening). Across every touchpoint, my work centers on experience, atmosphere, storytelling, and how it all combines to leave a lasting, emotional impact.
